Arianna Iampieri
Passionate about movement, architecture, and art in all its forms.
Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started studying
classical ballet at the age of five, and it remains my first great love. My curiosity for
creativity and the arts led me to study architecture, while my passion for knowledge
inspired me to pursue a PhD in Architectural History.
In 2024, I gifted myself a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, driven by the desire to make
room for a part of myself that, as a little girl, had always dreamed of becoming a dance
teacher. For me, movement has never been simply a way to stay fit. It is a form of
expression, a language, and a necessity of the soul. It was through the physical practice
that I first discovered yoga, but over the years, further studies and trainings have
gradually revealed a much wider and more fascinating world — one that I love
exploring and sharing with others.
Today, as I connect the dots, the picture slowly begins to take shape. I find myself
recognising how much these seemingly different paths have in common: a Vinyasa
sequence can be, in many ways, like a dance choreography; the body becomes a space
to explore, just as architecture is a space to inhabit. Both invite us to find balance,
explore possibilities, and create meaningful connections between movement, space, and
time.
In my classes, I share a Vinyasa-based practice that weaves together movement, breath,
meditation, and creativity. My intention is to create a space where students can slow
down, turn their attention inward, and reconnect with the space we inhabit above all
others: our own bodies.
Alongside teaching yoga, I also teach History of Architecture at university. I love
bringing these different worlds together and finding new ways to explore and share
knowledge. For me, teaching is never a one-way process: it is also an opportunity to
keep learning, questioning, discovering, and growing.
